Ricki Lake Looking Real Fashionable

Posted by on Mar 29, 2012 in Fashion | 0 comments

With a culturally rich background such as Ricki Lake’s it is inevitable that she would have eventually found her way to high places no matter where she went. This American actress, television host, and producer found her way to Hollywood through her Broadway portrayal of Tracy Turnblad in the original Hairspray. For the premiere of her documentary, The Business of Being Born, Ricki wore a somewhat flattering dressing with a very unusual hemline. Although the empire cut accentuated her ample chest and décolletage, the hemline was a more lacking affair. And since black and white are a classic and timeless color combination, Ricki wore black stiletto heels and brought with her a black clutch bag. She had all the fine features thanks to her Jewish roots, and these were most definitely brought to the center of attention with smokey...

Supermodel Petra Nemcova on the Red Carpet

Posted by on Mar 28, 2012 in Fashion | 0 comments

Supermodel Petra Nemcova attended the premiere of the film Gardener of Eden at the 2007 Tribeca Film Festival in New York City. She was seen with her sister, Olga Nemcova, in the red carpet event. For the occasion, the supermodel and former reality show host wore a tan mini dress that’s cinched at the waist. From this point of view, it is completely unflattering to both her skin tone and to her statuesque frame. The dress creased and wrinkled easily and was not strategically form-fitting. It was a good thing that she has a pretty face because that dress seemed to make people forget she was a supermodel. She wore her hair loose and wavy, which was a good thing as it served to be her redeeming factor for the affair. She wore red stilettos and brought with her...

Madonna’s Obsession with Patterns

Posted by on Mar 26, 2012 in Fashion | 0 comments

Madonna is perhaps one of the few entertainers who live up to their title. She is an accomplished singer, songwriter, business mogul, brand ambassador, actress, and most recently, documentary film director and producer. In this photograph, Madonna is captured arriving at the premiere of her documentary I am because We Are, a film that narrates the plight of the children of Malawi who become orphans because of the prevalence of HIV. She is seen here with an ethnic top. The pattern is pretty much reminiscent of paisley on an earthy palette. On her chest is what looks like a golden hamsa pendant hanging from a beaded chain. She left her top unbuttoned down to the chest to show off the necklace. On her wrist is a gold watch as well as a red Braid For Aids charm bracelet, an...

Lauren Conrad in Bold Colors

Posted by on Mar 1, 2012 in Fashion | 0 comments

Despite being famous for being famous, she pretty much handles the paparazzi with a golden hand these days as she’s been photographed wearing fab outfits around town. This photograph was taken at the 6th Annual Hollywood Style Awards held at the Armand Hammer Museum in Los Angeles, California. Lauren attended the event in this cute and colorful Mara Hoffman mini dress from the spring 2010 collection. Unlike the runway version, Lauren opted to belt the dress at the waist to create an hourglass silhouette. Otherwise, it would have just fallen loosely on her torso. The sweetheart neckline was also accentuated by her simple gold necklace. Her makeup was pretty delicate as well. Her rose lips matched with her dress perfectly. She wore contacts (which might have been a little too much) but kept the rest of her face fresh...

Kristin Bell Shines in Sheer Black

Posted by on Feb 29, 2012 in Fashion | 0 comments

American actress and silver screen star Kristin Bell definitely knows how to make black stand out. Being one of the prettiest blondes in Hollywood, this young actress has been a staple in the blogosphere’s best dressed lists. She began her career in television as the lead in Veronica Mars, but that was after landing a role in the Broadway edition of Tom Sawyer. For this red carpet event, the actress wore her hair in a high ponytail in which the front portion of the hair is held back with a thin black head band. It definitely plays up her features since she has a delicate bone structure. Note the high cheekbones and the perfect angle of her nose. What made this do work was that her makeup looked fresh and natural, and her skin was completely flawless. For her...

Cyia Batten On The Prowl

Posted by on Feb 27, 2012 in Fashion | 0 comments

American dancer, model and actress Cyia Batten arrived at the Killer Movie Premiere at the 2008 Tribeca Film Festival in Queens, New York in this sheer leopard print, empire waist dress. She should have considered wearing a chemise underneath, or at least nude colored underwear because we could clearly see it peeking through. Other than that, the silhouette it created was admittedly sultry thanks to the very low neckline and thin, delicate fabric. Nevertheless, we still think she should have worn something underneath, don’t you agree? Moving on, she accessorized her outfit using gold jewelry- a gold bracelet on one arm, a gold cuff on another, and  hoop earrings- which she most probably borrowed from the jewelry brand she and fellow actor Tim McElwee own. She brought with her a checkered clutch bag in black and tan which clearly...
